How can I purchase the Showerstick if the website says it's OUT OF STOCK?
ShowerSticks are restocked daily at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (California Time). Because they’re in high demand, they can sell out quickly — so we recommend visiting our website right at 10 AM to secure one.
Helpful Tips:
- Be ready a few minutes before 10:00 AM.
- Refresh your browser around 10:00 AM if the product still shows as out of stock — it may take a moment for the inventory to update.
Please note: All ShowerSticks are handmade in small daily batches, and due to limited production capacity, we release a set quantity each day.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support!

Can I use my EXISTING SHOWER HEAD with the ShowerStick?
You can use your own shower head with the ShowerStick, but we recommend using the one included with the unit. Here’s why:
Why We Recommend the Included Shower Head:
- It doesn’t have any switches (such as on/off or massage settings), which means it allows water to drain freely during regeneration.
- Some shower heads with switches or massage features can create back pressure, which prevents the ShowerStick from draining completely when laid on the floor. This can interfere with the saltwater regeneration process.
Want to Use Your Own Shower Head? Here’s How to Test It:
- Install your shower head as usual.
- Remove the cap on the ShowerStick’s regeneration port.
- Lay the shower head and hose flat on the shower floor.
- Watch the water drain from the ShowerStick — it should empty steadily within about a minute.
- ✅ If the water drains smoothly: You’re good to go!
- ⚠️ If it drains slowly or not at all: The shower head is likely creating back pressure.
In that case, you can still use your preferred shower head, but you’ll need to disconnect it from the hose each time you regenerate to allow proper drainage.
Important Note on Flow Restrictors:
If you choose to use your own shower head, make sure to remove the flow restrictor using needle-nose pliers or tweezers. Here’s why:
- Tiny resin beads or broken fragments can clog the restrictor.
- The ShowerStick already includes a flow restrictor in its mount — so you don’t need an extra one in your shower head.
Do you offer EXPEDITED SHIPPING?
We’re sorry, but we do not currently offer expedited shipping for domestic orders. All orders are shipped using our standard shipping method, and we typically ship the next business day after your order is placed.
What’s the Best SALT to Use for Regenerating, and Is It Okay to Use Water Softener Salt?
The best salt to use for regenerating your ShowerStick is plain or iodized table salt (such as Morton’s or any store-brand equivalent). These salts are fine-grain and dissolve quickly in water, ensuring the most effective regeneration of the resin inside the ShowerStick.
Why Not Use Other Types of Salt?
Salts like sea salt, kosher salt, rock salt, and water softener salt are coarse in texture and do not dissolve as efficiently. As a result, they are less effective in creating the brine solution needed to regenerate the resin.
Why Shouldn’t I Use Water Softener Salt?
Water softener salt (typically sold in chips or pellets) is designed for large, whole-house systems — not for the ShowerStick. Using it can cause several issues:
- Poor solubility: Pellets and coarse grains don’t dissolve easily, making them ineffective for regeneration.
- Impurities: Softener salt often contains dirt, sediment, or additives that can clog or damage the ShowerStick.
- Risk of damage: Large salt pieces can interfere with the regeneration port’s resin filter, possibly causing damage or reducing effectiveness.
Key Takeaway
- ✅ Use only fine-grain table salt (plain or iodized) for regeneration.
- ❌ Do not use water softener salt, rock salt, or other coarse salts — they may reduce performance or damage your ShowerStick.
